It’s time to celebrate – BET365 is now legal in Bulgaria!
The time for celebration is upon us as Bet365 has just become legal in Bulgaria. Bet365 Casino’s Malta-licensed subsidiary has just been awarded with their online sports betting license in Bulgaria. Bet365 can now entertain Bulgarian players on their dot-com site thanks to the approval of the State Commission on Gambling.
Bet365 has a long history with Bulgaria’s online gambling regulation as it was one of the first companies that were blacklisted. The reason for this was the country’s push to control and oversee any activity on its online market. In 2014, Bet365 applied for a Bulgarian license but unfortunately it was revoked shortly thereafter for reasons that were unknown to the public.
Bet365 was extremely upset by the unjustified revocation and took the SCG to court in order to gain clarity and sort out the unreasonable blacklisting. Earlier this year the Sofia Administrative Court sided with Bet365 and the SCG then suitably complied with the court’s requests.
The State Commission on Gambling in Bulgaria has recently issued online licences to 10 betting operators which include BetFair, PokerStars, Eurobet and other domestic firms.
With this new development there is a rush of excitement in the online gambling world and Bet365 Casino will move forward with bringing Bulgarian punters the best of online gambling entertainment.
